Switch Your Bank Loan To Thurles Credit Union
Thurles Credit Union Transfer Loan
As Ulster Bank and KBC continue to exit the Irish market, credit unions are responding by broadening their product and service offerings to offer a credible alternative to bank customers. One such offering is the Credit Union Transfer Loan, which allows bank customers to move their personal loans to their local credit union easily. The transfer process is straightforward, with an emphasis on personal service delivered locally. Introduced in late 2022 the Transfer Loan is a very positive addition to the ever-expanding range of loans from Thurles Credit Union.
Speaking on behalf of Thurles Credit Union, CEO, Brian king commented, “Credit Unions continue to be an integral part of local communities across the country. We are one of the most trusted brands in Ireland, as evidenced by our continued success in the customer experience poll over the past eight years, a record unrivalled in any other market. As the pillar banks reduce their presence and personal service offering, we are providing an opportunity to consumers to transfer their loans to a local lender who is always there for them. You don’t have to be an existing member of Thurles Credit Union to transfer your loan. Joining is easy, and we welcome new members every day.” Head of Lending with TCU, Keith Fitzgibbon, has encouraged any existing or potential new member interested in switching their loans across to please get in touch with him or any of the lending team.

The Transfer Loan is a collaboration between the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU), Credit Union Development Association (CUDA) and Collaborative Finance. Thurles Credit Union is delighted to have played it’s part in helping encourage this national initiative.
